Gyro District VIII, consists of sixteen Clubs located in southern and eastern British Columbia, in Alberta and Saskatchewan in Canada and in eastern Washington and northern Idaho in the United States of America. The oldest Club in District VIII was formed in1921 in Edmonton, Alberta and the newest, formed in 1992, is in St. Albert, Alberta. A number of Clubs have there own web sites which are listed here.

Every year Gyros and their ladies (Gyrettes) get together at a  District Convention with other Gyro Clubs within the District as well as with visitors from other Districts. Gyro District VIII also hold an Interim Meeting in March, at which time most of the business for the year is done. Other District and regular inter-club activities include an annual curling bonspiel (“Curlorama”) at Banff each fall and a golf tournament in the summer. These District activities are opportunities to travel, make new friends, renew old friendships and have fun.
